A leading global logistics and freight forwarding organisation is looking to strengthen its Kloten operation with an experienced Sea Freight Operator.

The Role
As a Sea Freight Operator, you will manage shipments from start to finish across Import, Export and Cross-Trade, working closely with customers, carriers, overseas offices and logistics partners.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing sea freight shipments from collection through to final delivery
- Handling customer enquiries and providing proactive updates
- Coordinating with shipping lines, customers, authorities, overseas branches and international partners
- Preparing, checking and maintaining shipping and transport documentation
- Monitoring shipments and ensuring deliveries are completed on time
- Managing claims, damages and any operational issues that arise
- Maintaining accurate shipment files in line with internal procedures
- Supporting continuous improvement and identifying opportunities to improve processes
- Working as part of a collaborative team to deliver a high level of customer service
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience within Sea Freight / Ocean Freight
- Completed vocational training in Freight Forwarding and Logistics
- Strong knowledge of Import, Export and/or Cross-Trade operations
- A customer-focused and commercially aware approach
- Strong attention to detail and a high standard of quality
- Good spoken and written English
- Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel
- Experience with CargoWise would be advantageous
- A proactive, outgoing personality and the ability to work effectively within a team
