Overview
In this role you maintain high-quality financial records and reporting for Swissquote, enabling informed decision-making and regulatory compliance.
You will work in a fast-moving finance team, handling close processes and complex accounting with a focus on accuracy and controls.
You’ll support management with planning and reporting while driving process improvements.
This is a hands-on position in a leading digital bank with global presence, offering impact through robust financial visibility.
- Verantwortungsbereiche
- Maintain general ledger, journal entries, and reconciliation across GAAPs (IFRS, ARB-FINMA) for the bank and subsidiaries
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings
- Contribute to half-year and year-end closings and liaise with external auditors
- Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and unusual movements
- Review accruals, provisions, prepayments, and other adjustments
- Ensure appropriate accounting treatment for banking transactions and financial instruments
- Assist in statutory and management financial statements; support consolidated reporting where applicable
- Lead or participate in accounting projects and provide guidance on complex issues
- Prepare regulatory filings (e. g., SNB, FINMA) as assigned
- Zentrale Anforderungen
- Bachelor in accounting, finance or economics
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in banking
- Fluency in French and English (oral and written)
- Adaptable with experience handling complex financial matters in a dynamic environment
- Meticulous with strong organizational skills and cross-functional collaboration
- Strong understanding of banking business and broader financial context
- Experience with IFRS and Swiss GAAP (ARB-FINMA is a plus)
- Excellent MS Office skills (Excel); knowledge of Power BI, SQL and/or Python a plus
- Knowledge of Temenos T24 and One Stream is a plus
