About the Opportunity
At Safeguard Global , we are supporting an established international technology company in the automotive and e-mobility sector in its search for an experienced Software Engineer – Functional Safety .
Our client specializes in the development of advanced power electronics and innovative embedded systems for next-generation E-mobility and charging technologies.
We are looking for a specialist who can take ownership of functional safety requirements and contribute to the development of reliable, safety-critical automotive software.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop and implement functional safety concepts for embedded automotive software in accordance with ISO 26262 and IEC 61508 .
- Define, review and maintain software safety requirements and verification criteria.
- Support the Functional Safety Manager in developing Functional Safety Concepts (FSC) and system requirements.
- Perform software safety analyses, including FMEA and DSA.
- Collaborate with software architects to integrate safety requirements into software architectures, components and interfaces.
- Support safety planning, technical reviews and external functional safety audits.
Your Profile
- Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems or a comparable technical field.
- At least 7 years of experience in Automotive Software Development.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in Functional Safety.
- Strong practical knowledge of ISO 26262 and/or IEC 61508 .
- Hands-on experience with Infineon AURIX microcontrollers .
- Experience with ASPICE, safety analysis methods and safety-critical software development.
- Knowledge of STM32 microcontrollers is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work across engineering teams.
- Very good English skills; German is an advantage but not mandatory.
