Description
We have an openingfor a bilingual (English/German), part-time/contract career coach based in Zurich, Switzerland ,to support our Relocation and Outplacement Solutions.
For Outplacement solutions, we support employees who have been made redundant by their organizations. Our coachesassist them with job search strategies to help them find new employment/career opportunities after a reduction in the workforce.
For relocations, we support employees and their spouses/families as they acclimate to new cities,and assist spouses/partners with finding employment/career opportunities in the new area.TheCoach works in a 1:1 capacity with employees of our client companies who are relocating by usingIMPACT Group's technology and coaching methodology. The coachalso supports the spouse or partner of the relocating employee with 1:1 job search and integration support.
This isa part time, contract and remote position based in Zurich, approximately10 hours per month, with potential growth.
- Establishes rapport with participantsand motivates them to achieve goals.
- Guides participantsthrough coaching process and milestone completion.
- Advises and coaches on career development, transition and cross culturalissues, and career options.
- Coacheson CV/résumé writing, effective marketing techniques, interviewing and negotiating.
- Maintains electronic service delivery record for each participantserviced, according to the internal guidelines.
- Monitors progress of participants, consults with them on specific subjects to improve their job search skills and knowledge and deals with personal issues that are affecting their careers and integrating into the new area.
Requirements:
- At least 5-7 years experience coaching others in job search: We are seeking a certified Career and Transition Coach with 5–7 years of experience. Ideally, the candidate will be an expat or repat with strong cross-cultural competence. The right person will have proven experience in facilitation, business coaching, career coaching, and integration coaching. Proficiency in an additional language is preferred, and German/English is required.
- Resume development, interview preparation, career exploration, LinkedIn profiles and other aspects of job search coaching.
- Experience working with expatriates on job searches in Zurich, Switzerland.
- Very strong verbal / written communication skills (bilingual--English & German required) , additional languages a plus.
- Able to analyze and appropriately address transitional and cross-cultural needs.
- Ability to engage and foster positive relationships with participants..
- Understanding of business and cultural practices within Zurich and surrounding areas.
- Currently lives and/or work s in Zurich or nearby areas in the German-speaking cantons of Switzerland.
- High-speed internet connection on a personal computer; headset with a microphone will be required (remote work ).
- Experience working withjob seekers of various professions and levels.
- Experience working with international job seekers, includingcareer continuation scenarios.
Ideal Candidate:
- Master’s degree in a discipline involving the study of human behavior, business or related field preferred.
- Coaching certificate or training.
- Familiarity with Zoom & MS Teams.
- Has personally relocated to a different country.
- Fluently speaks both languages,
