Senior Project Manager

This opening is for a Senior Project Manager in Geneva (multi-location, with London also hiring).
Senior Project Managers are resourceful team leaders who manage the critical thinking and analytical work that drives project teams. They are the link between junior team members and Dalberg management. They deliver creative ideas and results for clients worldwide, simplify complex findings, develop insightful recommendations, and structure communications with stakeholders in the public sector, private sector, civil society and international communities.
Responsibilities
- Take accountability for the quality of client deliverables
- Take a leadership role in building and managing the firm
- Manage relationships with clients and other stakeholders, often as the first point of contact for content questions and logistics
- Guide team members at all stages of the project and keep responsibility for project budgets and timelines
- Develop and maintain client relationships and contribute to thought leadership to generate new business
- Contribute to Dalberg's firm-building initiatives
Typical qualifications
- At least one year managing high-performing teams in a problem-solving, analytical environment
- Prior management experience in a consulting environment preferred (2+ years as a manager at a leading international management consultancy)
- Minimum 5 years of experience framing and analyzing evidence-based solutions to strategic challenges
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical abilities
- Ability to present information concisely and in a structured way, in writing and orally
- Initiative and the capacity to perform well in an entrepreneurial atmosphere
- MBA, MPA/Public Policy master's, or PhD from a top university
- Passion for international development, with exposure to global issues such as economic development, global health, education or the environment
- Experience living and working in different cultures; time in developing countries strongly preferred
- Fluent English; other languages a plus
Employment in the Geneva office is contingent on having the requisite authorization to live and work in Switzerland. Shortlisted candidates go through 3 to 4 interview rounds, including consulting case questions.
