Through Secure Safe, DSwiss operates a trusted Swiss infrastructure for the secure exchange, delivery and storage of confidential information.

Banks, insurance companies, public institutions and other regulated organisations use our solutions when data protection, data sovereignty and security are business-critical.

The platform is hosted in Switzerland, is ISO 27001-certified and is based on a zero-knowledge architecture.

For 17 years, hundreds of companies and institutions have placed their trust in DSwiss.

We are looking for a hands‑on IT & Infrastructure Engineer to join our Operations team.

This is a hybrid role combining ownership of our internal IT environment with the opportunity to develop deeper expertise in infrastructure operations and platform engineering.

You will take responsibility for keeping our employees productive, our devices secure, and our internal IT services running reliably.

At the same time, you will work alongside experienced infrastructure engineers, gradually expanding your responsibilities into Linux systems, data center operations, virtualization, networking, automation, and modern infrastructure technologies.

We don't expect you to be an expert in all these areas from day one.

We're looking for someone with strong technical fundamentals, a practical approach to problem-solving, and a genuine interest in learning and growing beyond traditional IT administration.

  • Job responsibilities
  • Internal IT, identity, and endpoint management
  • Own and improve day‑to‑day internal IT operations, ensuring employees have reliable and secure access to the tools and systems they need.
  • Administer Microsoft 365 and Entra ID, including user lifecycle management, group and license management and access requests.
  • Manage our Apple and Windows devices using JAMF and Microsoft Intune, including provisioning, configuration, patching and compliance reporting, applying the hardening baselines and compliance criteria defined by Information Security.
  • Manage employee onboarding, offboarding, device replacements and IT asset lifecycle processes, including documented and verifiable access revocation at offboarding in line with Information Security requirements.
  • Administer and improve Jira Service Management and Confluence, including service workflows, documentation, and knowledge management.
  • Coordinate with external IT vendors, service providers, and suppliers for IT hardware, licenses and services.
  • Infrastructure and operations
  • Work closely with the Operations team to maintain and improve our on‑premises infrastructure.
  • Gradually take on operational responsibilities involving Linux servers, virtualization, storage, networking, and monitoring systems.
  • Assist with hardware installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management in our data centers.
  • Support system patching, backups and operational reliability, and remediate vulnerabilities identified and prioritized by Information Security within the agreed deadlines.
  • Participate in operational incident investigation, troubleshooting and root cause analysis, and support Information Security with technical analysis and remediation during security incidents.
  • Join the infrastructure team's on‑call (Pikett) rotation once sufficiently trained and familiar with the environment.
  • Contribute to infrastructure improvement projects and operational documentation.
  • What we are looking for
  • Approximately 3–5+ years of hands‑on experience in IT administration, systems administration, or infrastructure operations.
  • Practical experience administering Microsoft 365 and Entra ID, including identity and access management.
  • Experience managing corporate Apple and/or Windows devices using tools such as JAMF or Intune.
  • Solid understanding of operating systems, networking fundamentals, DNS, VPNs, and general IT infrastructure.
  • Experience with system troubleshooting, software deployment, and patch management.
  • Basic scripting or automation experience or demonstrated ability to develop these skills.
  • Ability to independently investigate technical problems, identify root causes, and implement reliable solutions.
  • Willingness to participate in an on‑call rotation after appropriate training.
  • Good communication skills, a structured working approach, and clear technical documentation habits.
  • Nice to have
  • Experience with Linux server administration.
  • Exposure to virtualization platforms, storage systems, or data center environments.
  • Familiarity with Git, Git Lab, configuration management, or infrastructure‑as‑code tools such as Ansible or Terraform.
  • Interest in or initial experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience with Jira Service Management and Confluence administration.
  • Experience in security‑conscious or ISO 27001‑certified environments.
  • Relevant Microsoft, JAMF, Linux, or infrastructure certifications.
  • What makes you a good fit
  • You enjoy solving technical problems and aren't afraid to investigate unfamiliar systems.
  • You are comfortable taking ownership of day‑to‑day IT responsibilities, but you also want to understand how the infrastructure behind those systems works.
  • You might already be a strong IT administrator looking to move toward infrastructure engineering, or a systems administrator who enjoys working across both employee IT and backend systems.
  • You don't need to know Kubernetes, Terraform, or every aspect of data center operations today.

What matters is your ability to learn, your curiosity, and your willingness to take on new challenges.

  • What you'll gain
  • A clear growth path: Develop from internal IT ownership into broader infrastructure and platform engineering responsibilities.
  • Hands‑on infrastructure experience: Work with real production systems, Linux servers, networking, storage, virtualization, and data center environments.
  • Exposure to modern engineering practices: Learn about automation, infrastructure as code, containers, Kubernetes, and Dev Ops workflows.
  • Mentorship and collaboration: Work directly with experienced infrastructure engineers who will support your technical development.
  • Meaningful ownership: Take responsibility for improving systems and processes rather than simply handling support tickets.
  • A security‑focused environment: Gain experience operating infrastructure where reliability, security, and compliance matter.
