You want to help build the Western resilience and protect people and critical infrastructure. At CDDS, you'll help secure the software behind our next-generation interceptor drones.
We're looking for a hands-on software engineer who understands embedded security and US security requirements. You'll complement our existing cloud security expertise by implementing security on our devices and supporting compliance documentation from a technical perspective.
What You Will Do
- Write and maintain software that secures our embedded Linux devices and ground systems.
- Implement secure provisioning, authentication, key management, and software updates.
- Translate security requirements into practical technical solutions alongside our security and compliance lead.
- Identify vulnerabilities, implement fixes, and verify that security measures work on real hardware.
- Support compliance work with technical documentation and evidence of implemented controls.
Requirements
- Strong software development skills in Python and/or C++.
- Experience securing embedded Linux systems.
- Practical knowledge of encryption, secure boot, access control, and device security.
- Ability to balance security requirements with performance, reliability, and operational needs.
- experience for hardware backed key storage, like TPMs
Nice to have
- Experience supporting security compliance or assessments.
- Familiarity with US cybersecurity requirements relevant to defense suppliers.
- CCP certification.
- Experience with NVIDIA Jetson or similar embedded platforms.
- Experience with yocto
- Experience with embedded penetration testing
- NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC familiarity
