As a result of the combination of the BD Biosciences and Diagnostic Solutions business with Waters Corporation (NYSE: WAT), you are applying for a position with Waters, a global leader in life sciences dedicated to accelerating pioneering science through analytical technologies, informatics, and service.
Responsibilities
- Installation, maintenance, and repair of flow cytometers according to technical documentation.
- Independent diagnosis and resolution of technical issues at customer sites.
- In collaboration with sales colleagues, inform customers about technical service offerings such as service contracts.
- Ensure customer satisfaction based on the customer satisfaction score.
- Maintain data in the internal ERP system.
- Regular participation in training sessions on technical innovations, including abroad.
Qualifications
- Completed technical education or equivalent qualification in medical technology or electrical engineering.
- Initial field service and technical support experience in a high‑tech environment (medical technology, electronics).
- Proven experience and strong technical know‑how in IT and network technologies.
- Excellent self‑organization, strong time management, and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Strong communication skills, analytical thinking, team spirit, and a high level of commitment and personal responsibility.
- Efficient, pragmatic, and solution‑oriented working style.
- Based in German‑speaking Switzerland (Basel, Zürich or Bern).
- Swiss citizenship is required.
- Fluent in German and English.
- Valid European driver’s license and high willingness to travel within the assigned territory and occasionally across Central Europe.
