Firm: Premier Global Technology & Growth Private Equity Sponsor

Firm Overview

Our client is a global private equity investment manager specializing in high-growth enterprise software, digital infrastructure, cybersecurity, vertical SaaS, and tech-enabled services. Operating via a multi-jurisdictional platform, the firm deploys capital from its flagship funds into market-leading technology businesses across Europe and North America. The Swiss office serves as a strategic hub for originating, underwriting, and executing high-conviction transactions across the DACH region & broader European deep-tech and enterprise software ecosystems.

Position Overview

The firm is seeking to appoint an exceptional Investment Associate to join its lean, high-performing deal team in Switzerland. Positioned at the core of the deal engine, the incoming Associate will gain immediate, end-to-end exposure across the entire investment lifecycle—from thematic sourcing and SaaS unit-economics underwriting to complex transaction execution, cross-border due diligence, and active portfolio value creation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Thematic Origination & DACH/European Screening :
  • Conduct structured research into high-conviction technology sub-sectors (e.g., Industrial Software, FinTech/InsurTech, B2B SaaS, Cybersecurity). Build proprietary sourcing channels through direct outreach to founders, advisory networks, corporate spin-offs, and co-investors across Switzerland, Germany, Austria, and broader European hubs.

  • Complex LBO Underwriting & SaaS Metrics Analysis :
  • Build, own, and stress-test integrated 3-statement financial models, LBO structures, and returns sensitivity matrices (IRR/MoIC). Interrogate software-specific operational metrics including Net Revenue Retention (NRR), CAC payback periods, LTV/CAC ratios, rule of 40, and ARR churn dynamics.

  • Transaction Execution & IC Architecture :
  • Co-lead multi-disciplinary diligence workstreams (commercial, technology/code review, legal, financial, tax) alongside external advisors. Author institutional-grade Investment Committee (IC) memoranda detailing investment thesis arguments, valuation frameworks, risk mitigation, and value creation pathways.

  • Portfolio Value Creation & Buy-and-Build :
  • Partner directly with portfolio company C-suites to accelerate international expansion, pricing optimization, and GTM refinement. Screen, execute, and integrate add-on acquisitions across Europe and North America.

Candidate Profile

  • Professional Experience :
  • 3 to 5 years of top-tier experience within Private Equity, Growth Equity, Investment Banking (TMT / Software focus), or leading Management Consulting / CDD practices.

  • Domain & Technical Mastery :
  • Advanced financial modeling skills (LBO, M&A) with a deep understanding of recurring-revenue software business models, go-to-market funnels, and unit economics.

  • Commercial Acumen & Drive :
  • High quantitative horsepower paired with a passion for software, deep-tech, and digital ecosystems. Proactive, self-directed operator capable of managing multiple transaction workstreams independently under lean team dynamics.

  • Academic Credentials :
  • Outstanding Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a quantitative discipline from a premier university.

  • Languages :
  • Complete, negotiation-level fluency in English is essential. Fluency in German (or French, depending on regional deal focus) is strongly preferred given the mandate's heavy emphasis on DACH market origination and founder engagement.
