We are looking for an innovative R&D Engineer to strengthen our efforts to develop industry-leading compressors and turbines for turbocharger applications. The successful candidate will act as a component owner within the Compressor & Turbine team and will be responsible for both aerodynamic and mechanical design, from pre-engineering and product development through to product maintenance and manufacturing support.

Your responsibilities
- Design compressors and turbines, taking into account aerothermodynamics, mechanical integrity, and materials.
- Be responsible for product validation and qualification.
- Support advanced concept studies.
- Contribute to shaping the technology roadmap.
- Act as an internal point of contact for all product lines.
- Coordinate with internal and external test facilities on testing and validation activities.
Your background
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
- At least 5 years of experience in compressor or turbine development.
- Solid understanding of turbomachinery.
- Strong background in aerodynamics, thermodynamics, and mechanical integrity.
- Experience with 3D CFD tools and finite element analysis (FEA/FEM).
- Sound programming knowledge in Python and MATLAB.
- Familiarity with compressor or turbine testing and validation.
- Open-mindedness and strong interpersonal skills.
- Proven track record in compressor or turbine design, e.g., through patents or publications.
- Excellent organizational skills and a high degree of self-organization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Fluency in English.
- Willingness to learn German.
