Title: Exchange Online Migration & Mobility LeadSeniority: SeniorLocation: Zurich (on-site) with nearshore/offshore support
Purpose:Leads the migration of mailboxes from on-premises Exchange (hybrid-prepared) to Exchange Online and the replacement of BlackBerry Work/Access with a modern mobile experience.
Key responsibilities:
- Design and execute the mailbox migration approach: wave planning, pilot, cutover, rollback, coexistence and hypercare
- Plan for mail-flow, calendar free/busy, public folders, shared mailboxes, archives and larger mailbox sizes
- Design BYOD mobile access (Outlook mobile with Intune MAM) to replace BlackBerry Work and Access, incl. Intranet access
- Coordinate with the Endpoint and Security engineers on the new Outlook client and add-in compatibility
- Manage migration tooling, automation, reporting and wave readiness checks
- Supervise nearshore/offshore migration engineers and ensure quality
Required experience & skills
- 7+ years in messaging engineering, with 3+ Exchange hybrid-to-online migrations of 5,000+ mailboxes
- Deep PowerShell and automation skills
- Experience with mobile mail modernisation (BlackBerry or similar to Outlook mobile / Intune)
- Experience of regulated environments, including journaling, retention and compliance archiving
- Strong planning and runbook discipline
Nice to have:
- MS-102 or equivalent
- Experience with third-party migration tools
- Familiarity with multi-region tenant/data-residency considerations
